ITERA SPONSORSHIP ANOUNCEMENT
It is my great pleasure to announce ITERA international Group of Companies as the new Primary sponsor for VeloBrew.
ITERA is a subsidiary of ITERA International Group of Companies, a multinational consortium of companies actively engaged in energy, real estate and other businesses in the United States, the New Independent States and other regions.
On behalf of the VeloBrew membership, I would like to thank Mr. Igor Makarov, Chairman of ITERA Group and Dr. Lazar Finker, VP of Public Relations and Governmental Affairs of ITERA USA, for their decision to expand ITERA’s international support of cycling into our local community.
Attracting the interest of an international sponsor of ITERA’s caliber can be quite a task. Fortunately this was much easier after early discussions with Itera’s Dr L Finker discovered a common interest. Dr. Finker presented VeloBrew and our ideas to Mr. Makarov, who also happens to be president of the Russian Cycling Federation.
He himself is an accomplished cyclist with 10 years on the Russian National Cycling Team and two Olympics under his belt. ITERA is also a Gold sponsor of Katusha’s World pro tour team and Continental U21/23 teams.
For the past months our discussions have centered around one common goal, Promoting Cycling. Our objectives ensure VeloBrew maintains status as a USA Cycling club involved in charitable events, USA Cycling sanctioned Races and club based rides. ITERA’s involvement will allow us to continue as an information hub for the local community and give us the needed resources to begin our expansion into youth cycling programs outside of North Florida.
Mr. Igor Makarov maintains his passion for cycling, he rides regularly and remains involved in our sport and its development. He is scheduled to be in our area later this month and I plan to meet with both he and Dr Finker to discuss our goals and the importance of youth development.
Our strongly talented VeloBrew membership and our backing by ITERA and Mr. Makarov will place us in a prime position to truly help USA Cycling youth encourage their passion for this great sport and develop skills to enable them to compete at both the collegiate and professional levels. While we increase our focus on the future of the Velobrew Youth, our Category, Masters and Community programs will also be bolstered, ensuring the longevity of VeloBrews efforts.
I am very excited and look forward to a long term and mutually beneficial relationship between VeloBrew, ITERA and Mr. Igor Makarov.
